YKB is an initiative of VedOrigin created to make India's innovation ecosystem more visible, accessible, and discoverable.

By accessing or using the YKB platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws.

These Terms of Use apply to all visitors, users, startup founders, startup representatives, contributors, and other individuals accessing or using the YKB website and its digital platform.

This includes individuals who browse startup profiles, use search and discovery features, or submit startup information through the Submit a Startup facility.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the YKB platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue use of the YKB platform.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the YKB platform only for lawful purposes, including:

• Discovering and learning about Indian startups and innovation.

• Exploring startup profiles and publicly available information.

• Using technology-based discovery, search, industry, and state-based filtering features.

• Accessing publicly available YKB content and resources.

• Submitting startup information through the Submit a Startup facility, where applicable.

You agree not to use the YKB platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, unauthorized, or harmful purpose.

5. Startup Submissions

Founders, startup representatives, or other authorized individuals may submit startup information through the Submit a Startup facility.

Submission of a startup does not guarantee publication on YKB.

YKB may, at its discretion:

• Review submitted information.

• Request additional information or clarification.

• Verify or seek clarification regarding submitted information.

• Correct formatting or presentation of information.

• Approve or decline a submission.

• Defer publication.

• Modify or remove a published startup profile where appropriate.

YKB may also decline or remove information that it considers inappropriate, misleading, incomplete, unverifiable, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform.

6. Accuracy of Submitted Information

Individuals submitting startup information are responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and not knowingly false or misleading.

The submitter represents that they are authorized to provide the information and materials submitted to YKB.

Where information changes after publication, founders or authorized representatives are encouraged to contact YKB to request an update or correction.

YKB may request reasonable information or verification before making changes to a published startup profile.

7. Public Startup Profiles

Approved startup submissions may be presented as publicly accessible YKB startup profiles.

A published profile may include information such as:

• Startup name

• Startup tagline

• Founder name(s)

• Industry

• Technology / technologies

• Headquarters / location

• Founded year

• Startup description

• Official website

• Social media links

• Startup logo

• Featured Image

The publication of a startup profile is intended to support discovery and awareness and does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement, certification, investment recommendation, accreditation, partnership, or guarantee by VedOrigin or YKB.

8. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

• Provide accurate information where requested.

• Submit only information and materials they are authorized to provide.

• Respect applicable laws and regulations.

• Refrain from submitting false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, or infringing information.

• Avoid actions that may disrupt, damage, interfere with, or compromise the operation or security of the YKB platform.

• Respect the intellectual property and rights of VedOrigin, YKB, startups, and other third parties.

• Use information obtained through YKB responsibly and for lawful purposes.

Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to YKB systems, databases, accounts, or underlying infrastructure.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all original content available on the YKB platform, including text, graphics, logos, designs, layouts, documents, images, icons, and other materials created for YKB, is the intellectual property of VedOrigin or its respective owners and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

No YKB-owned content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, republished, or commercially exploited without prior written permission from VedOrigin, except where permitted by applicable law.

Startup names, logos, trademarks, images, descriptions, and other materials belonging to individual startups remain the property of their respective owners.

10. User-Submitted Content

By submitting content to YKB, including startup information, logos, images, descriptions, and related materials, the submitter confirms that they have the necessary rights or authorization to provide such content.

The submitter grants VedOrigin/YKB a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use, reproduce, resize, format, display, publish, index, and distribute submitted materials as reasonably necessary to:

• Review the submission.

• Create and maintain the relevant startup profile.

• Operate and present the YKB platform.

• Enable search and discovery.

• Promote YKB and its startup discovery activities.

This permission does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property from the submitter or the relevant startup to VedOrigin.

11. Third-Party Links

The YKB platform may contain links to third-party websites, including official startup websites and social media platforms.

YKB does not control or endorse such websites unless expressly stated and is not responsible for their:

• Content

• Privacy practices

• Security

• Availability

• Accuracy

• Terms or policies

Users access third-party websites at their own discretion and risk.

12. Website Availability

VedOrigin strives to maintain the availability, functionality, and accuracy of the YKB platform.

However, uninterrupted access, error-free operation, continuous availability, or complete accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

VedOrigin reserves the right to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the YKB platform, including features, content, or discovery mechanisms, where reasonably necessary.

• Interactions or transactions between users and startups discovered through YKB.

• The availability or content of third-party websites linked through YKB.

By using YKB or submitting information through the platform, users acknowledge that their information may be handled in accordance with that Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

VedOrigin may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws, platform functionality, business operations, or YKB's services.

Updated versions will be published on the YKB website with the revised effective date.

Continued use of the YKB platform after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Any disputes arising from the use of the YKB platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, subject to applicable law.
